Multi-Ethnic Clubs

Several clubs exist to develop and promote diversity at Biola, as well as to provide additional community for students of color. While all students are welcome to participate, these clubs are generally intended to support and honor members of a particular ethnic or cultural group.

Multi-Ethnic Clubs

  • Black Student Association (BSA)
    The purpose of the Black Student Association is to provide a safe and welcoming community for black students at Biola University. The primary goal of this club is create a holistic environment where students can develop spiritually, academically, culturally, professionally and socially.
  • Biola Indonesian Student Association (BISA) — The purpose of the Biola Indonesian Student Association is to provide community for Indonesian students and to plan events and activities to promote all students' knowledge and appreciation for Indonesian culture.
  • Heart for China — Heart for China promotes opportunities for those who want to learn more about China including the country, its culture and language.
  • Koinonia Campus Missions — Koinonia Campus Missions is a community of Biola Asian Americans who are brought together by fellowship through both fun activities and just worshiping as one body.
  • Maharlika — Maharlika provides a gathering for Filipino students, as well as those interested in learning and engaging in fellowship with Filipino culture. Maharlika is Tagalog for royalty; the group seeks to glorify God through activities and cultural programming.
  • Unidos — Unidos seeks to unite people of Hispanic / Latino background and culture and to share that culture with Biola. Throughout the year, Unidos engages in fellowship, socio-cultural education, and community outreach to the inner-city.
