"We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give." (Winston Churchill)
— Blake Plympton, Resident Coordinator
Purchased by Biola in 2002, the Lido Mirada Apartment Building is part of what is known as 'The Block,' a row of apartment buildings located a half-mile from the Biola campus. Lido is designated for undergrad students who are 20 years or older by the first day of Fall classes. It is staffed by a paraprofessional Resident Coordinator.
Lido Mirada contains two-bedroom apartments, designed to house 4 students each. There is one laundry room on the ground floor. Lido is co-ed, with male and female students living in separate apartments. While there is no lobby or lounge per se, there is an external patio and swimming pool that provides social space. All doors open to a central courtyard area making community easy and natural.
Lido Mirada Apartments' doors are secured by a key access system, so only residents can access the building. Each individual room is key-locked for student security. Security cameras in outside and common areas are monitored 24 hours per day, and Campus Safety patrols campus regularly to ensure student security at all times.
Each room differs slightly, so your room may look different. There are many other ways to personalize the layout of your room from these samples.
