Built in 2003, Hope North is staffed by 7 RAs, under the supervision of Resident Director Nadia Lopez. Hope is a traditional "dorm-style" hall with community restrooms, two elevators and three stairwells. The main lobby is a two-story atrium; the second floor lobby overlooks this area. About Hope
Built in 2003, Hope Hall is the largest residence hall on campus, and is treated as two communities: the north end is known as Hope North, and the south end as Hope South, each with its own resident director and staff of resident advisors. It was named in memory of the historic Biola building that was located at 6th and Hope St. in downtown Los Angeles. Hope is home to continuing students (i.e. sophomores, juniors and seniors), is co-ed, with male and female students living in separate sections of the building, while sharing the lobbies, kitchens and laundry facilities.
There is a centralized laundry room on the ground floor with 16 washers and 16 dryers and a large main-floor kitchen. There are eight oversized rooms, designed as 'triples,' and eight single rooms designed to accommodate students with disabilities. Behind Hope is an outdoor amphitheater that seats up to 400.
Hope Hall's doors are secured by an electronic access system, so only students can access the building during the day, and only residents may enter the building at night. Each individual room is key-locked for student security. Security cameras in outside and common areas are monitored 24 hours per day, and Campus Safety patrols campus regularly to ensure student security at all times.

Hope Hall goes all out when dressing up for Nationball and Midnight Madness (it's a sea of pink). Basically, Hope is a non-stop party!
December's Eve All-Hall. It is a night where residents come enjoy Christmas spirit and cheer with holiday music, laughter, and merry-ness. The Hope community stays up late to toast and welcome in the month of December!

"Hi! I am originally from Victorville, CA which is a small desert town about two hours from Biola. I graduated from Biola in 2018 and 2022 with a B.A and M.A in Intercultural Studies and a concentration in Community Development. After graduating, I spent four years working in Traditional Undergraduate Admissions at Biola where I was a Senior Admissions Counselor. I helped recruit hundreds of new students from local and out of state areas as they transitioned through a major life change of entering college. I loved the connections I built with them over the years and the mentorship I could provide. This is what led me to Residence Life as I desired to have a more active role in the development and growth of students as they navigate the joys and challenges of life. I live in Hope North with my husband Aaron and our son Josiah. In my free time I love floral design, going to concerts and Disneyland."

"Hello! I am from a small California mountain town called Running Springs. I graduated from Biola in 2015 with a B.A in Psychology, and went on to earn my M.S. in Organizational Psychology from Vanguard University in 2017. I spent a couple years working in HR for a K-12 school district in Colorado, where my love for employee development started to gain traction. I am passionate about working with teams, and helping others build on their strengths. I studied organization psychology because I wanted to be a part of creating working atmospheres where people thrived and were able to love the work they were doing. As an Assistant Director/Resident Director, I am using that background to help develop my teams and bring passion to the work we do. Outside of work I love spending time with my family, Drew (Biola ‘16), my toddler, Luka, and our cat, ChubChub."
