Welcome to Biola University! We are excited you have chosen to be part of our community! Here in Global Student Programs and Development, we hope to make your transition to Biola University as smooth as possible. In order to do so, as a new undergraduate student we ask that you complete the following steps:

Step 1: Sign up for Global Student Orientation- August 21-23, 2017


Take part in this required Orientation especially designed for new Global Students, which includes international students, MKs and TCKs. This orientation is FREE, but you must register for it by August 1, 2017. Click here to register:

Orientation Check in ℗
Come to the Mosaic Cultural Center during these hours to check in with Global Student Programs and Development (GSPD). There you will be greeted by our Global Student leaders and provided with a Global Student Ambassador who will help you with the following:

  • Going to the Housing office to get your dorm key
  • Getting your Biola ID card
  • Helping you find your dorm
  • Answering your questions about the schedule for Global Student Orientation and Biola.

Welcome Dinner ℗
Join us for a special dinner to welcome you to our campus. At this dinner you will meet important staff members as well as mingle with other new global students. (Please note- you must pre-register for this event!)

Parental Information Session ℗
Parents are invited to meet the Directors of Parent Relations and Global Student Programs, as well as ask any pertinent questions they have about their students’ time at Biola.

Transportation & Shopping Experience
Biola has a free shuttle that will take you to movies, shopping, and restaurants off-campus. Join us to experience this route, for your future reference. Also, if you need to buy supplies for your dorm room, we will be stopping at a great store called TARGET. Bring your money and your shopping list!

New Global Student Orientation is officially finished. Please look at your SOS schedule for events occurring over the weekend.

Step 2: Sign up for Housing


Please complete your Housing Application to request Biola Housing as soon as possible. If you need instructions on how to complete the application, you can find that information on the Biola Housing website.

If you are planning on commuting, you can submit a request to live off-campus.

If you are registered for New Global Student Orientation, you will be allowed to move into Biola Housing early, starting Monday, August 21.

Step 3: Check out the schedule for New Student Orientation- August 24-27, 2017


After we have New Global Student Orientation, you will be involved in a few more fun days for all new students. Here is the schedule: https://www.biola.edu/student-orientation/fall2017

Step 4: Start packing!


We highly suggest that you pack light and buy the majority of your necessities when you get here. There will be many opportunities to go shopping, including a fun trip to many stores on Monday, August 21. We recommend that you only bring personal items with you.

Step 5: Check your email regularly


Global Student Programs and Development will be sending you updated emails regularly. Make sure to keep up to date on the schedule as well as let us know any changes that have happened on your end. This will help us all have a smooth transition.
