  • Digitally-recorded books

  • ASL real-time captioning

What does the renewal process look like?

In order to protect your privacy and autonomy, we do require for each semester following, you communicate to our staff that you would like your new faculty informed of your registration with the OSA. You should receive a link several weeks before the start of each semester for easy and quick access. If for some reason you do not receive that email, please let us know right away. For certain types of conditions, additional documentation may be required on a yearly basis, which our staff would communicate with you.

When should I start this accommodations process?

We encourage students with known conditions to register as soon as possible, preferably before the start of the semester. Accommodations cannot be applied retroactively, so in order to ensure implementation of a student’s care plan, early registration is strongly recommended.

What if there are issues with my care plan?

If you feel you have a need related to your diagnosis that is not being accommodated, it is important that you communicate with our staff as soon as you’re able. We strongly encourage open communication with our students and will be happy to set up a follow up appointment to address any concerns.

What if I think I have a disability and wish to be assessed?

The Office of Student Accessibility does not provide testing or assessment for disabilities or medical conditions; we recommend visiting the Biola Counseling Center, Student Health Center, or going through your insurance company for referrals within their network. If you have questions about this process, please do not hesitate to connect with us for further guidance and next steps.
