About the Course

Offered in both spring and fall terms, our Strategies for Academic & Personal Success (SAPS) course is designed to provide tools and techniques for students seeking support and development for healthy life balance and collegiate success. Topics discussed include test-taking strategies, strengths-based living, the importance of healthy sleep patterns, effective time-management, habit forming/breaking, the art of being present and learning style.

  • Open to all undergraduate students, grad students also welcome
  • Generally 5 sections in both the spring and fall terms

  • Are struggling with time management or work/play balance.
  • Would like more instruction on how to study
  • Feel ill-equipped or overwhelmed at college and desire more tools to succeed
  • Desire to be more present and productive but aren’t sure how to do that
  • Are struggling academically and need help identifying their learning style.
