Student orientation begins in August and is required for all new Biola students.
Student Orientation Services (SOS) is a service provided by current student leaders to help all incoming students transition into college life, particularly life at Biola University! Move-in day is Thursday, August 24, 2017, and orientation begins that evening and goes through September 2. For a move-in schedule and list of student orientation activities and dates, visit the SOS website.
If you are enrolling in Torrey Honors Institute (THI) there is mandatory orientation from Sunday, August 20 to Wednesday, August 23. Be sure to contact the THI office at 562-906-4555 if you have questions.
If you are a member of a Biola athletic team, please contact your coach regarding the date you are to report to campus. Athletes participating in a fall sport often need to arrive on campus prior to the official move-in date.
Orientation for international students and US citizens living abroad will begin on Monday, August 21, 2017, but there is some flexibility to your arrival time. Click here for more information and to register for Orientation.
International students and US citizens living abroad may begin moving into campus housing prior to traditional incoming students; see the Global Students website. This site also provides practical information about living in a new country, including banking information, getting a driver's license and even a listing of local churches.
Visit the Biola Student Life website for information about living in La Mirada and the Southern California area.
