B.A. in Philosophy
The mission of the Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy is to foster a community of Christian scholars apprenticed to Jesus in the pursuit of theoretical and practical wisdom.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, students will be able to:
Discuss, explain, and evaluate the key ideas and arguments in the history and main divisions of philosophy.
Employ the skills of philosophical reading, writing, and argument.
Apply insights from the world's wisdom traditions to their practice of the teachings of Jesus.
A Curriculum Map shows which courses in a degree program are responsible to intentionally develop each PLO at the Introductory, Developing, and Mastery levels.
An Assessment Plan is a listing of the student work that will be used to assess achievement of each learning outcome.
An Assessment Schedule is a 5-year schedule that indicates when each of the PLOs will be assessed and when the comprehensive Program Review will occur.
