Biola University is currently an applicant to the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) for both master's (OTM) and doctoral degrees (OTD) in occupational therapy. Please see the "Accreditation Updates" section below for additional details.

Master’s Programs
Accreditation Updates
Biola University is currently an applicant to the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) for both master's (OTM) and doctoral degrees (OTD) in occupational therapy. We have secured a Winter 2025 slot in the accreditation cycle and plan to launch cohorts in both programs in January 2025. The University is in the process of hiring a Founding Director of Occupational Therapy Programs (or Graduate Program Director) for January 2022. Until the Director is in place, please contact Dr. Matthew Rouse, Dean of the School of Science, Technology and Health, with any questions.
Additional Institutional Accreditations
Biola University holds institutional accreditation from the WASC Senior College and University Commission (1961). In addition, the institution and some specific programs are accredited by:
- Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (2007)
- Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (2021)
