Dr. Deborah Taylor has served as Provost and Senior Vice President at Biola University since 2015. As Provost, she acts as the Chief Academic Officer of the university to establish and implement its academic priorities. Taylor serves on the President’s Cabinet and leads and supports the deans and faculty in their pursuit of faith-integrated education. Prior to earning her Ph.D. from Claremont Graduate University, she spent 15 years in K-12 education and administration. During her tenure at Biola, Taylor served as a faculty member in the School of Education at Biola University, and as Associate Provost for Educational Effectiveness, leading the university's assessment and accreditation efforts. Throughout the duration of her Biola career, Taylor has been active in Biola University's diversity efforts and implementing faculty development initiatives to strengthen pedagogy and behaviors that foster a positive environment for students of color.
