New Student Veteran Orientation
Orientation is for all present and former military personnel and is designed to promote a successful start to your academic journey at Biola. You will meet key administrators who can answer questions related to academics, student services, financial aid, student activities and campus life. You will also hear from Biola Veteran Association student leaders and meet current student Veterans.
Veteran Community Lunch
Veteran Community Lunches happen approximately three to four times each semester, and are designed to offer our student veterans an opportunity to connect with each other, meet key administrators and faculty and to give feedback to the Assistant Director of Veteran and Military Affiliated Student Programs. Keep an eye out for upcoming community lunches!
Upcoming Community Lunch: TBD
Veterans Day Chapel and Family Reception
Veterans Day Chapel was initiated for student veterans to share their stories, bring awareness to the greater Biola community and celebrate the diversity that student veterans bring to our campus.
Veterans Day Chapel falls on a Friday near Veterans Day.
Biola Veteran Association - BVA
The Biola Veteran Association (BVA), a student run chapter of Student Veterans of America, serves as a source of support, representation and camaraderie for all Veterans and Service members at Biola. In addition, the BVA seeks to cultivate mutual relational connections and educational outreach to the Biola community at large.
Military Affiliated Students
There are over 150 military affiliated students at Biola University! Your transition to Biola may be the latest in a long line of transitions you have already experienced. Resilience and flexibility are hallmarks of those from military families. We welcome you to the Biola Community!
If you have a loved one currently serving or who has served in the U.S. Military, we encourage you to attend the upcoming connection lunch. More information to come.
Challenge Coins and Honor Cords
In recognition of your service to our country and of your educational journey at Biola, Veteran and Military Affiliated Student Programs would like to gift all current Student Veterans with a Biola Veteran Challenge Coin.
Also, if you are graduating this semester, we would like to present you with an Honor Cord to wear during your graduation ceremony in recognition and appreciation for your service.
