Strings

Strive for excellence.

As a string student at Biola University's Conservatory of Music, you will enjoy rehearsing and performing works spanning from the classical tradition to contemporary, each one helping you to develop your own unique voice. Individualized instruction is offered in double bass, cello, guitar, harp, mandolin, violin and viola; and coaching and master classes from highly regarded faculty and international visiting guest artists. Sharing the gift of music is at the heart of the program and a wide variety of performance opportunities are available. Students can participate in weekly studio classes and Random Acts of Culture, as well as solo, chamber music, and large ensemble settings (including the Biola Symphony Orchestra and the Biola String Quartet).

The strings department will continually encourage and challenge you. Your fellow peers are committed to excelling in their craft and will inspire you to do the same.
