About Us

Provide Data about the University

The Office of Institutional Research extracts and reports data for compliance and comparative purposes to agencies and organizations such as the Department of Education, U.S. News & World Report and National Science Foundation. We also respond to data requests from the campus community regarding enrollment, demographics, student success and employees.

Data about Biola can be obtained in three ways:

  • The Common Data Set can be downloaded from our website.
  • Our outcomes website provides data about learning outcomes, career and graduate school outcomes, retention and graduation rates, and student survey results.

Internal members of the Biola community may request an enrollment report or other institutional data by e-mailing institutional.research@biola.edu.

Conduct Analyses, Research and Evaluation

We examine university data using various methods in order to activate data-informed decision-making by students, faculty, and staff, for the purpose of improving student success and experience at Biola (in alignment with the Statement of Aspirational Practice for Institutional Research set forth by the Association for Institutional Research).

Consulting

We consult with departments on strategic planning (including establishing benchmarks and KPIs), data analysis, and research and assessment projects.
