It is incredible to be involved in the Biola community.

How did your program at Biola prepare you for your career?

The program challenged me in academics like I have never been challenged before. There were many times where I did not think I could learn what was expected of me. However, through countless hours of diligent help from dedicated professors, I have developed skills that I never would have if I did not challenge myself in this field.

What did you appreciate most about your time at Biola?

The people. I have never been in an environment with people this dedicated to making a difference in this world by developing their knowledge base. It is incredible to be involved in the Biola community. It is filled with people who are faithful and committed to making a difference. The professors are invested in your success and they truly want you to achieve greatness. I could not have asked for a better community to spend four of the most important years of my life.

How did Biola equip you to be a more faithful follower of Jesus Christ?

Challenge. Biola challenged me to lengths I never thought I could conquer. When times were the most difficult, people lifted me up and prayed with me. Spent time with me and encouraged me. They helped me to rely on Jesus when times are difficult but also when times are good.

What advice would you give to students considering your degree program?

Go in being optimistic. Know that it will be challenging, but also so rewarding. I was scared of failing. Science was not my strongest subject, but I loved it. I loved the vision of protecting the environment and people. So, I went for it and challenged myself. Through that I grew in my relationship with Jesus and I am now a stronger person overall.
