      The Biola Student Exchange Program provides unique opportunities for Biola students to study at Christian universities in Korea, Japan or Indonesia. Students can study as exchange students at Yonsei University in Korea, at Tokyo Christian University in Japan or at Universitas Pelita Harapan in Indonesia. Biola students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher may apply for up to two semesters of exchange study.

      Program Overview

      Yonsei University's Exchange Student Program offers opportunities to students who plan to study at Korea's top university located in the heart of Seoul, the dynamic capital city of Korea.In addition to gaining academic excellence, international students are also exposed to a beautiful and culturally rich environment and can share special memories and experience Korean culture by participating in various Yonsei clubs and activities for international students.

      Students who apply to attend Yonsei University must complete a Biola application for review by Study Abroad. This includes an interview as a part of the application. If the student is approved by Biola Study Abroad, they are nominated to complete an application to Yonsei University who determines final acceptance.

      Airfare, passport, and travel visa are not included in the estimated program cost. Students accepted to participate in the program with Yonsei University during the 2021-21 year will be billed Biola tuition, Biola administrative fee, and international health insurance through Biola. Students live in a shared dorm room at Yonsei University. This cost is before financial aid. For a study abroad financial aid review, please contact The Office of Financial Aid.

      *The 2021-2021 estimated cost of living is quoted as 5,500,000 KRW. Students will pay roughly 1,785,000 KRW of this directly to Yonsei University for housing in the SK Global House. Yonsei University will provide assistance in how to process payment. Yonsei University estimates 2,000,000 KRW for meals, 400,000 KRW for books and supplies, and 400,000 KRW for transportation for the semester.
