Communications and Marketing Manager, Biola's Center for Marriage and Relationships

Communication Studies, B.A., '22

My professors not only taught and guided me but also challenged me, befriended and mentored me, and above all walked alongside me.

How did your program at Biola prepare you for your career?

Biola prepared me for my career because it structured my education around spiritual formation. I am a firm believer that the preparation I received from Biola is contingent on how I chose to interact with the resources it offered. My professors not only taught and guided me but also challenged me, befriended and mentored me, and above all walked alongside me. I stepped into independence and opportunity I did not even know I was capable of because of their example and encouragement.

What did you appreciate most about your time at Biola?

Understanding that my Bible minor was not simply an added degree requirement but a crucial component of my overall education changed my experience at Biola entirely. The theological training and spiritual discipline I was introduced to and guided through changed my life. I would not be the same person I am today without the wisdom I gained through my Bible minor.

How did Biola equip you to be a more faithful follower of Jesus Christ?

God used Biola to equip me to be a more faithful follower of Jesus Christ because Biola was a place where Scripture was taught, studied, and integrated into all areas of education.

What advice would you give to students considering your degree program?

Take your professors up on office hours. You will not regret the relationships you will develop and the wisdom you will gain.
