Summer Residency


The Summer Residency program is held on Biola University's La Mirada, Calif. campus each year. This two-week period is a time where students can experience direct contact with faculty members, featuring lectures, discussions, mentorship opportunities and evening seminars with prominent scholars.

Room and Board


Please complete the Summer Housing Request Form to reserve housing during the residency program. Requests are subject to availability, and housing for students will be first priority — therefore, space for families and spouses is limited. Housing requests will be granted for students first, then families and spouses as space is available.


A variety of on-campus meal plan options are available during summer residency. To reserve a meal plan, please use the Biola Auxiliary Services form:


Hospitality Packages including drinks, snacks, flatware, basic dishes, Apologetics and Science & Religion polos, and Biola souvenirs will be available for purchase on the residency website. Also, please be aware of the available summer housing accommodations listed below.

On campus housing rooms provide:

Arrivals and Departures

Due to a recent university-wide policy change, the Apologetics department is no longer able to provide shuttles to and from the airport and Biola University's La Mirada campus. We recommend booking an airport shuttle with Prime Time or Super Shuttle.

Transportation During Residency

Public Transportation
La Mirada Transit offers shuttle service within the city limits. You can use Dial-A-Ride to do grocery shopping and other errands. Call (562) 943-6776 or (714) 521-0330 for immediate pick-up or to schedule a trip. Service hours are 6:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, and 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Saturday.

Rental Cars
Some students prefer to rent a car for their time here. All nearby airports have rental car agencies. If you would like to rent a car for a day or weekend we recommend Enterprise. Go to to make reservations.

Parking on Campus
We recommend that you use street parking on Biola Avenue or at your apartments. Please refer to your residency email for your free parking pass, or contact your academic advisor.
