Letter from the Program Director

Dear Prospective Student,

I am delighted to learn about your interest in our Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) Program in the School of Science Technology and Health at Biola University. We have made it our program mission to equip students to be public health agents of change: dedicated to improving population health, promoting preventative medicine, and advocating for health equality. Our M.P.H. program strives to foster a student-centered learning environment, providing rigorous academic and practical experiences to prepare future Christian healthcare leaders with careers in government health agencies, healthcare systems, and non-profit organizations.

For more than a hundred years, Biola has been committed to God’s Word, developing influential leaders who follow God’s calling and serve Him through their scholarship to advance His Kingdom. Biola M.P.H. program integrates our Christian faith with a strong foundation in public health theories and practice to help prepare ethical leaders with a servant-heart, equipped to address challenges of the healthcare fields. Students will be taught from a Christian worldview to be compassionate agents of change, ethical decision-makers, health educators, and champions of health equality.

I am honored to provide direction to the Biola M.P.H. program, as I recognize the importance of preventative healthcare and medicine in promoting healthy communities. Our Public Health program offers a global health track and an epidemiology track to help you become a better equipped Christian healthcare leader serving your local or global community.

I invite you to contact our Kinesiology & Health Science Department office to find out how you can be part of our program mission and become a public health agent of change who serves God and His people with excellence, wisdom, and humility.
