K.C. Kaye Kaminski Jones Scholarship

The K.C. Kay Kaminski Jones Scholarship was established to celebrate K.C. Jones. K.C. was going to school to become a teacher of children with special needs on St. Patrick’s Day, 2006, when the Lord took her home. This scholarship was founded by a group of ladies who loved K.C. and were part of her tea club called “The Tea Bags.” It provides a scholarship to continuing students at Biola who are studying to become special needs K-12 teachers and demonstrate financial need.

The Anne Louise Gewe Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate nursing students in the nursing program at Biola University. Recipients are selected by the Nursing Department based on the following criteria: A clinical nursing student who 1) makes it a priority to glorify God in words and actions, 2) demonstrates compassion and caring, 3) has perseverance to hang in there even when the job is tough, and 4) always strives to do their best.

This scholarship is awarded to undergraduate nursing students in the nursing program at Biola University. Recipients are selected by the Nursing Department based on the following criteria: 1) demonstrated financial need (by filing a FAFSA), 2) minimum GPA of 3.2, 3) U.S. citizen, 4) fluent in English, 5) preference to residents of California, specifically La Mirada or Whittier, and 6) preference to students with a special interest in the study and practice of labor and delivery.

Colonel Harry and Evelyn S. Zukerberg Memorial Scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate nursing student in the nursing program at Biola University. The Francis Yu Mei Lu Scholarship was established in memory of Dr. Francis Lu, a beloved professor and mentor. The donors wished to assist students who are of African American or Hispanic/Latino backgrounds studying mathematics and sciences. In addition, upperclassmen of any ethnic background may be selected if they intend to pursue graduate studies in mathematics or sciences.
