Raquel McLeod
- Director, Career Development
Raquel graduated from Whittier College with a bachelor’s degree in political science and Spanish. She served in the United States Army for 8 years and deployed in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Prior to coming to Biola she worked in health care for over 15 years as a director of business development and marketing in Southern California. In her spare time she enjoys traveling with her husband and three beautiful kids.
Aaron Scherer
- Senior Career Specialist: School of Humanities & Social Sciences, Rosemead School of Psychology, the School of Education, and Talbot School of Theology
Aaron graduated from Biola University in 2018 earning a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with minors in Bible, Business and Intercultural Studies. While at Biola, he worked alongside his local church in the youth ministry. Post graduation, he transitioned to the private sector, working first for a food broker alongside of various organizations (such as Nestle USA and Coca-Cola) where he learned the importance of organizational collaboration. Prior to Biola, he also worked as a legal assistant in personal injury law, discovering both a passion for helping those in need and a talent for counseling. With a wide variety of experiences, Aaron is excited to help students reach their goals for the greater glory of God and the well-being of people.

Brooke Lee
- Career Specialist: Crowell School of Business
Brooke Lee graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and obtained a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary Philadelphia. Prior to coming to Biola, she was in ministry for 10+ years at a local church in Southern California, and transitioned into a career as a recruiter at AppleOne Staffing and Amazon. She is excited to bring her experiences in ministry and as a corporate recruiter to provide the best Gospel care for the students preparing for their careers.
Christine Harris
- Career Specialist: Snyder School of Cinema & Media Arts, School of Arts and Letters - Division of Communication and Division of the Visual and Performing Arts
Christine was studying the arts when she experienced a radical conversion at the age of 20. Desiring a strong biblical foundation for her faith, she completed the LOGOS program at The Master’s Seminary before earning her Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Christian Ministries. She later returned to her artistic roots, studying interior design and spending more than a decade teaching K–12 art. Alongside her husband, she has designed furniture, creative spaces, and interiors, bringing together her love of art, craftsmanship, and practical creativity.
Christine also serves on the Santa Clarita Arts Commission, helping select civic art pieces and fostering connection between artists and their communities. She is delighted to be at Biola, helping students translate their gifts, calling, and creative vision into tangible vocational paths. Her hope is to encourage students to “guard that which has been entrusted to them” as they faithfully cultivate the unique creative vision God has placed within them.
Brianna Cornejo
- Career Specialist
Brianna graduated from Biola University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and later earned a Master of Science in Sport and Performance Psychology from California Baptist University. During her time at Biola, she worked as a Writing Center Consultant and served as a Psychology Peer Internship Ambassador, where she developed a passion for supporting students and helping them connect their academic experiences to future opportunities. During graduate school, Brianna worked as a Sport and Performance Psychology Consultant, supporting collegiate athletes with goal setting, time management, confidence and other skills to help them perform at their best. These experiences strengthened her passion for helping others recognize their strengths, navigate challenges and work toward their goals. Outside of work, Brianna enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, visiting Disneyland, and exploring new coffee shops and restaurants.
