Each week at AfterDark, we gather to worship in music and consider teaching on a broad range of topics from God's Word—an evening planned by the AfterDark student ministry team. Come join us at the end of the day, as we engage with God together in a relaxed and intimate setting.

Speakers

Matt Rouse

Dr. Matthew H. Rouse was born in Muskegon, Michigan, but moved to California during high school. He attended the University of Redlands, receiving a B.S. in Biology in 1990. Dr. Rouse then transitioned into the field of Communication Sciences and Disorders,
receiving a M.S. in Communication Disorders from the University of Redlands in 1992 and a doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2009 from Nova Southeastern University.  Dr. Rouse accepted a faculty position at Biola University teaching in the communication disorders program and was the Chair of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders from 2007-2019. Dr. Rouse is currently the Dean of the School of Science, Technology and Health at Biola University. His research interests include neuroscience and neurogenic communication disorders. Dr. Rouse is the author of Neuroanatomy for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, now in its second edition. He is married to Chrissie, a Biola alum, and has two daughters, Torie and Lexie, who are
current Biola students.
