Join us for a special panel discussion on the movie Just Mercy, where we will discuss themes from the film that apply to racial inequities and the pursuit of justice. This event will be held on Biola’s YouTube channel. You can submit questions for a Q&A time using the form linked below. This will be a time of challenging dialogue meant to help you engage with conversations around diversity in a biblically-grounded way.
Our moderator will be Assistant Dean of Chapels and Worship Mike Ahn, with panelists that will include: Biola University Board of Trustee member Adam Edgerly, Assistant Professor of Theology Leon Harris, Alumna Whitney Chantel Barnard and Azusa Pacific University Chair and Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Justice Deshonna Collier-Goubil.
Note: Viewing the film is not mandatory to engage with the conversation, but you are encouraged to watch it ahead of time as plot spoilers may be covered. The film has a runtime of 2 hours and 17 minutes, please take this into consideration when planning to view before this panel discussion.
