Join the Torrey Honors community as Dr. Joshua Smith shares his lecture, "Frederick Douglass, the Slave Narrative, and the Origins of the African-American Literary Tradition."  Dr. Smith will compare the two installments of his slave narrative, and discuss the relationship of the slave narrative form with the genesis of African-American writing.
