We are pleased to welcome Biola alumna Melissa Batallés, soprano, to our Music at Noon stage. Melissa has established herself as a performer in opera, musical theater and on the concert stage. Her recent performances include: featured soloist at the New York Waldorf-Astoria Hotel for the Diamond Jubilee of the Viennese Opera Ball; soloist with the Southwest Florida Symphony for “Pops II: A Tribute to Erich Kunzel;” performing the role of Papagena in the West Bay Opera production of “Die Zauberflöte;” and singing the role of Maria in the Charleston Symphony concert version of “West Side Story.” Melissa has won many awards, including being a finalist in the 2012 Meistersinger Competition in Austria and a three-time recipient of the Michael Masser ASCAP Scholarship.
