Refresh & Refocus

Refresh. Refocus. The academic rhythm of life is strengthened by recognizing the value and great need for times of rest. Words like “refresh” and “refocus” can prompt us to remember the importance of taking time to reflect, restore, and move forward.

With that in mind, we are looking forward to stepping out of our typical conference routine and gathering together at an off-site venue (Rancho Bernardo Inn) on the weekend of August 18-20, 2023. Our hope is that this time would strengthen our work together, both in the tasks we face and the relational climate we experience. We've scheduled the dates for a weekend with the intention that this arrangement allows for all to participate in our first off-campus Fall Faculty Retreat in twelve years.

Fall Faculty Conference is co-directed by Shelly Cunningham, Associate Provost for Faculty Advancement and Arianna Molloy, Associate Professor of Communication Studies & Pedagogy Development Consultant.
