Mission and History

The Department of Communication Studies exists to provide students with a rigorous, academically strong and biblically based study of communication. During their studies, our students engage with historical and cultural implications, develop identities, and analyze messages informed by foundational theories, contemporary research, and investigative methodologies.

We seek to equip our students with important skills they need to enter the workplace with confidence. Our graduates are empowered to speak, write and problem solve ethically and with humility to impact local and global communities.
