Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA)

The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is the premier organization for students interested in careers regarding public relations and communications. Biola’s chapter of PRSSA offers a myriad of opportunities to help students enhance their education, broaden their network and launch their career in public relations. An offshoot of the professional organization, PRSSA offers:

  • Club meetings with speaking appearances by professionals in the industry
  • Opportunity for leadership experience within the Biola chapter
  • Discounted admission to events and speaking engagements held by Los Angeles and Orange County PRSSA chapters
  • Mentorship program

6th Street Public Relations

6th Street Public Relations

A completely student-run PR agency, 6th Street works with clients on and off-campus, and is one of the few PRSSA Nationally Affiliated agencies in the country. With a commitment to excellence and professionalism, staff members in 6th Street PR have the opportunity to work in a variety of public relations areas including social media strategy, events, branding, media relations, and awareness campaigns.

6th Street offers Biola students a variety of opportunities within the agency, from being a staff member to taking on a larger role as an account executive, creative director or agency director for a campaign.

Public Relations Honors Society

Biola PR Fellows is an invitation-only society and is offered to a select group of students who have displayed strong academic expertise, leadership within the PR program, and a character that evidences professionalism. PR Fellows is designed to facilitate advanced mentoring, foster professional development, and guide future PR leaders in strategic foresight for their career ambitions.
