Many Christians tend to struggle in isolation and loneliness. Rather than allowing God to speak to us through various ways (e.g. Scripture, community, etc), we often try to maximize personal efforts to change and feel better. In order to experience lasting growth, we ought to receive encouragement and persevere in the body of Christ.

Speakers

James Lee

James Lee (MA, Talbot) is a Professor at Talbot School of Theology, Biola University and also serves as a pastor in the local church. He is passionate about bridging the church and the academy by helping believers develop a biblical worldview that encourages flourishing in the faith. His interests in practical, systematic, and philosophical theology led him to research a theology of the emotions and its integration with sanctification as part of his doctoral work.
