In Acts 1:8, Jesus tells his followers that the Holy Spirit will come upon them and that they will be his witnesses. This message will introduce the book of Acts by showing how the Spirit, poured out at Pentecost, continues Jesus’ mission through ordinary believers. Students will be invited to consider what it means to depend on the Spirit as Helper, guide, and source of power for faithful life and witness.
