Torrey Honors Distinguished Guest Lecture with Dr. Roosevelt Montás

Torrey Honors College and the Office of the Provost are looking forward to welcoming the distinguished Dr. Roosevelt Montás to Biola University on Thursday, October 1st. In the last decade, Dr. Montás has become one of the most prominent advocates, both nationally and globally, for the enduring value of a liberal arts education. He is currently the John and Margaret Bard Professor in Liberal Education and Civic Life at Bard College. Prior to joining Bard, Montás was on faculty at Columbia University as Senior Lecturer in American Studies and English. He was the former director of Freedom and Citizenship at Columbia College, the sister program to Biola's Read Well, Live Well, which introduces low-income high school students to the Western political tradition through the study of foundational texts.
