As part of Biola University’s America250 celebration, Biolans living and working in the nation’s capital are invited to gather for a special evening of conversation and community at the Museum of the Bible with renowned author and cultural commentator Os Guinness.
Hosted by Dr. Barry Corey and Paula Corey, this gathering will bring together alumni, friends and members of the Biola community in Washington, D.C. for a thoughtful reflection on faith, freedom and the American experiment. Few Christian thinkers have shaped the conversation about religious liberty and public life more than Os Guinness. A prolific author and longtime observer of culture and politics, Guinness has spent decades writing and speaking about the moral and spiritual foundations that sustain free societies.
Guests who register will receive complimentary admission to the Museum of the Bible for the day, along with an official Biola lanyard at check-in, making it easy to enjoy the museum exhibits and connect with fellow Biolans throughout the day before the special gathering.
Whether you live in the D.C. area or will be visiting the city, this America250 event offers a meaningful opportunity to reconnect with the Biola community while engaging one of the most respected Christian voices reflecting on the future of faith and freedom in America.
Hotel and flight accommodations are not organized through Biola University. Guests are responsible for their personal accommodations and travel.
All alumni and friends of Biola University are welcome! More details to follow.

Os Guinness
Dr. Os Guinness is a social critic and the acclaimed author of more than thirty books. With a D.Phil from Oxford, Dr. Guinness has spent decades exploring the intersection of Christian faith, freedom and the "civil public square." Born in China to medical missionaries and the great-great-great-grandson of the famous Dublin brewer Arthur Guinness, he brings a unique perspective to the American experiment. Since moving to the United States in 1984, he has been a Guest Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Studies, a Guest Scholar and Visiting Fellow at the Brookings Institution, and Senior Fellow at the Trinity Forum and the EastWest Institute in New York. Dr. Guinness was the lead drafter of the Williamsburg Charter in 1988, a celebration of the bicentennial of the US Constitution, and later of “The Global Charter of Conscience,” which was published at the European Union Parliament in 2012. His latest book is America Agonistes: America’s 250th and the Restoration of a Nation in Conflict with Itself and Its Past.
