America at 250: Faith, Freedom and the Future of the American Economy

A conversation with David Bahnsen

Cost and Admission

This event is free to attend.

As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary, the nation is reflecting on the ideas that shaped its prosperity and freedom. Among the most significant is the relationship between free enterprise and a free society. David Bahnsen will explore how economic freedom, responsible leadership and moral conviction have contributed to the flourishing of the American experiment — and what those principles mean for the next 250 years.

Bahnsen is the founder and chief investment officer of The Bahnsen Group, a nationally respected wealth management firm that oversees billions in assets, and he is a frequent commentator on economic policy, culture and markets. His insights regularly appear in major outlets such as CNBC, Bloomberg and Fox Business, where he is known for articulating a thoughtful Christian perspective on business, stewardship and public life.

Bahnsen is also the author of several influential books, including Full-Time: Work and the Meaning of Life and There’s No Free Lunch: 250 Economic Truths, where he explores how faith informs our understanding of work, markets and human flourishing.

His visit will include additional engagements with the Biola community earlier in the day, including a faculty lunch in the Kim Dining Room and a chapel conversation at Talbot Chapel, before the public lecture at 2 p.m. Students, faculty, alumni and guests are invited to attend this timely conversation, hosted by Torrey Honors College and Crowell School of Business, as part of Biola’s ongoing America250 programming.
