Frequently Asked Questions

How many hours a week should I expect to spend on the Certified Digital Marketing Professional program?

The Certified Digital Marketing Professional program consists of approximately 28 hours of course content. You have up to 24 weeks to complete the course, during which time you can access your course content wherever and whenever you want. On average, students finish the program in 8-10 weeks, spending about 3-4 hours per week.

What does a dual certification mean?

Dual certification means that upon completing the Certified Digital Marketing Professional program, you will earn two globally recognized credentials:

  • AMA Professional Certified Marketer® (PCM) in Digital Marketing from the American Marketing Association

  • Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP) from the Digital Marketing Institute

What do I need to know about the certification exam?

The assessment is a 3 hour exam consisting of 120 test items (including multiple choice, matching, and drag-and-drop question formats). The exam is split into three sections. Candidates need to achieve a minimum of 60% to pass the exam. The examination fee is included in the course price though additional fees apply for retakes if you do not pass on your first attempt.

What is the refund policy?

We want you to be confident in your investment. If you change your mind or are not satisfied with your purchase, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the purchase date—provided you have not yet completed your Digital Marketing Institute (DMI) certification.

To request a refund, please contact us at digital.certifications@biola.edu with your name, purchase details, and reason for the request.

Please note: Refunds will not be issued after certification has been received or beyond the 14-day window.

Are there any prerequisites for enrolling in the courses?

No formal prerequisites are required for most courses. However, a basic understanding of marketing concepts and digital tools can be helpful. The courses are designed for beginners, professionals and career switchers alike.

How do I access the course materials and resources?

Upon enrollment, you’ll gain access to the DMI learning platform, which houses all course materials such as videos, readings, and interactive modules. You’ll also unlock DMI’s membership resources, including toolkits, templates and webinars. If you have any questions about registration, please contact digital.certifications@biola.edu

What support is available if I need help during the course?
