Visit the Cars2Charities website or call Cars2Charities directly at (855) 520-2100.
Recurring Monthly Gift
Consider setting up a monthly recurring monthly gift through your credit card, ACH or Biola’s payroll deduction program. By setting up a recurring monthly gift, you will be part of our monthly giving program, The Fount. As a monthly donor, rather than receiving monthly receipts and gift acknowledgements, you will receive quarterly emails with stories about your giving’s impact and a year-end giving statement
Recurring Credit Card Gift
You can also set up a recurring credit card gift through our secure online form or by calling Advancement Services and providing the information over the phone at 1 (800) 632-4652.
ACH (Automatic Deduction from Checking Account)
To set up an automatic deduction from your checking account, send a voided check to:
Biola University
P.O. Box 3760
La Mirada, CA 90637-3760
Include the following information:
- The amount you authorize to have deducted each month
- Date you want the deduction made (either 3rd or 18th of the month)
- Designated fund
Automated Bank Check
Contact your bank to request a monthly check be sent to Biola University. Check should be made payable to Biola University. Let your bank know the specific fund you want your donation to go toward. This should be included on the memo line (for example, “Nursing Department”). Without a fund designation, the donation will go toward the Biola Fund.
Checks should be mailed to:
Biola University
P.O. Box 3760
La Mirada, CA 90637-3760
Biola’s Payroll Deduction Program
This giving opportunity is available to Biola University employees. Contact Biola’s Accounting Department (payroll@biola.edu) to let them know you would like to make a monthly donation to Biola from your paycheck. They will set up the recurring deduction from each paycheck for the amount you choose, with a $5 minimum donation per paycheck.
IRA Required Minimum Distribution
Make a gift with your IRA Required Minimum Distribution.
The IRA Charitable Rollover, passed by Congress, allows donors to distribute some (or all) of your required minimum distribution (RMD) to Biola as a qualified charity. The amount donated will not be subject to income tax for that year.
To make a gift using your RMD, please contact the custodian of your IRA and give the following instructions in order to take advantage of this provision:
- Instruct your custodian as to the dollar amount of your RMD that you desire to be donated directly to Biola this year.
- This is in accordance with the IRA Charitable Rollover Legislation.
- Request that your custodian mail the check payable to Biola University and send to:
Biola University
Attn: Advancement Services
PO Box 3760
La Mirada, CA 90637-3760
Please request that the check includes a notation with your name on it. You will then receive an acknowledgment of this distribution from Biola, though this will not qualify for a charitable deduction. The amount distributed will not be reported as income to you this year.
If you have further questions, please contact Scott Singletary, Senior Director of Legacy Planning at scott.singletary@biola.edu or call him at 714-927-0936.
Thank you for prayerfully considering this investment in Biola.
