About the Campaign

For more than a century, Biola University has prepared men and women to carry the light of Christ into the world.
At the groundbreaking ceremony for the original Bible Institute of Los Angeles building in 1912, Biola co-founder Lyman Stewart expressed a hope that continues to guide the university today:
Let it be our hope and prayer that from this place shall radiate streams of influence which will be a great blessing, not only to the multitudes around us, but also to the darkest places on the earth.
That vision is as urgent today as it was then.
Our world is changing rapidly. A culture drowning in information still hungers for truth. Long-held convictions are being tested. The church and the world need leaders who can hold fast to Scripture while engaging thoughtfully and courageously with the challenges before them.
Biola is preparing those leaders.

Streams of Influence: The Campaign for Biola University is a $250 million comprehensive campaign to strengthen Biola for this calling and equip a rising generation to shape culture rather than be shaped by it.
The campaign is organized around three priorities that reflect the journey and influence of a Biola student: Open Doors. Shape Lives. Shine Light.
We open the doors so students can come. We shape lives through rigorous scholarship, biblical formation and transformative community. And we prepare students to shine the light of Christ through their lives, vocations, and influence.
