In October, the Center for the Study of the Work and Ministry of the Holy Spirit Today led its first biennial academic symposium. Scholars, practitioners, and many experts in their respective fields gathered at Biola to listen and contribute to the topic of “The Holy Spirit and the Healing of the Body.” For two days, we delved into this interdisciplinary discussion to traverse the landscapes of the psychological, neurological, spiritual, and biblical-theological, culminating in a collective exploration of the Divine Spirit.

Our distinguished speakers, including Dr. Craig Keener, Dr. Candy Gunther Brown and several others, illuminated the intersections of theology, science, medicine, psychology and spirituality, reminding us that our quest for knowledge is inexhaustible and the pursuit of biblical wisdom knows no bounds.

Through these engaging conversations, we have witnessed the power of ideas to inspire transformation, to spark new ways of thinking, and to connect us across disciplines, backgrounds, and traditions. The symposium has not only expanded our understanding of the Holy Spirit’s role in healing but has also reinforced the value of open and respectful dialogue. We hope to see you at our next event.
