Talbot School of Theology has received a grant of $10 million from Lilly Endowment Inc. to help establish Talbot Embedded, a cohort-based pathway within the Master of Arts in Christian Ministry and Leadership (Ministry & Leadership) and Master of Divinity (Pastoral and General Ministries) programs. Talbot Embedded will launch cohorts, in partnership with denominations, networks, and regions, to bring seminary education closer to the Church. It is designed for ministry leaders, pastors and church members who want advanced training, while continuing to serve in their local church or parachurch organization. Each semester combines online coursework with a multi-day, in-person gathering, creating a rhythm of learning that is both flexible and deeply relational. During these on-site sessions, one of Talbot’s world-class faculty members will travel to the cohort's location to teach and connect in person. Unlike the fully on-campus program in La Mirada, you don’t need to relocate — you stay rooted in your current ministry context — but also experience in-person education.
