Biola University Athletics introduced a refreshed brand identity on August 7, 2026, featuring a new Eagle mascot, a redesigned "Biola” script logo, and an additional color accent. The previous branding, in place since 2012, has been updated to offer a fresh perspective on the Biola story and its rich history.
The new primary typeface used with the script logo, directly inspired by Biola’s iconic “Jesus Saves” signs that shone high above the streets of downtown Los Angeles at Biola’s original campus, is an intentional link to the university’s roots.

“By drawing inspiration from our downtown campus roots while embracing an expressive look, we can share an identity that doesn’t only represent our teams; it represents the Biola story of all Biola Eagles,” said Dr. Bethany Miller, associate vice president for Student Development and senior director of Athletics. “It’s been exciting to watch this unfold, and I’m incredibly grateful to share it with our alumni family. Seeing this brand refresh come to life has been such a collaborative, prayerful journey. It was a gift to spend time listening — to our students, coaches, alumni, staff, faculty and administration — because we wanted a visual representation as joyful and centered as the people in our community.”
The refresh is the product of more than a year of collaboration with the branding studio Daake and its affiliate, The Athletic Branding Company, along with input from campus partners, coaches, athletics staff, alumni and student-athletes along the way.
Biola Athletics is also adopting new public core values: Faith, Formation, Fierce. Though the visual appearance is evolving, Biola Athletics remains committed to faith in action, to formation and to competing with a fierce pursuit of excellence, evidenced by its 17 men’s and women’s athletic teams competing in the NCAA Division II. Over the years, Biola athletics teams have earned 11 team national championships and over 50 individual national championships.
These values were shaped over the past year with input from across the Biola community, and they capture what has always been true about Biola Athletics, a faith-forward student-athlete experience built on whole-person development, where Biola athletes are equipped to use their gifts fiercely in competition.
“In faith, we are rooted in Christ, anchored in Scripture — every practice, every game, every handshake with an opponent is a chance to embody God’s love and bring him glory. Through formation, we are dedicated to growth individually and as a community — developing people who will lead, serve and shine long after their final season ends, creating bonds that truly outlast seasons. And in being fierce, we compete and live with passion, honoring the gifts God has entrusted us to reflect His image,” said Miller.

The brand refresh extends well beyond new marks, appearing throughout campus and across athletic facilities. New uniforms, a refreshed basketball court in Chase Gymnasium, fresh Eagles merchandise at the Biola Store and online, and updated banners, signage and wall graphics across athletics facilities all sport the new brand visuals. Installation began this summer and will be completed throughout the 2026-27 school year.
This new identity for the Eagles is meant to unite all of Biola under one banner. It signals how far Biola Athletics has come and points toward where the university is being led. Come experience all that Biola has to offer in the classroom and on the court. Applications for Fall 2027 are open now. Learn more and apply today.
