Biola’s nationally ranked film school is getting ready for its biggest premiere yet.
This fall, the Snyder School of Cinema & Media Arts will celebrate the opening of its long-anticipated new film studio, which will dramatically expand the university’s capacity to prepare students for careers in the film, television and gaming industries.
The three-floor studio facility — set for a dedication ceremony on Oct. 15 — will feature a 3,000-square-foot soundstage, a Dolby-certified theater, screening rooms, classrooms and dedicated spaces for all stages of the production process.
The facility, which is being funded entirely by the generosity of donors, will enhance what is already regarded by industry publications as the nation’s top film program at a Christian university.
In April, Variety recognized Biola among the nation’s leading film schools for the ninth consecutive year — featuring it as one of 26 top schools in the publication’s annual “Education Impact Report.” Within the past year, the school was also recognized as No. 22 on TheWrap’s “Top 50 Film Schools of 2025” and a top local program by The Hollywood Reporter.
