BUSN111 Contemporary Business Enterprise
Units: 3.0
School: Undergraduate School
Course Description:
Designed to experientially explain how organizations work and to show students how a business career can be a ministry. Introduces and integrates all the parts of the modern organization acting in a global environment. Allows students to see the necessity of a broad educational background to an organizational career, and allows them to explore issues of faith in a business calling.

BUSN190 Business Statistics
Units: 3.0
School: Undergraduate School
Course Description:
Collection and presentation of business data, central tendency and dispersion measures for business analysis, sampling and inference for confidence intervals and hypothesis testing, business forecasting with simple and multiple regression, index numbers.

BUSN201 Principles of Macroeconomics
Units: 3.0

Course Description:
Macroeconomics: supply and demand analysis, fiscal and monetary policy, money and banking, international trade and the balance of payments.

BUSN202 Writings in Microeconomics
Units: 3.0
School: Undergraduate School
Course Description:
Integration of basic microeconomic theory with research and composition on issues related to market efficiency. The course includes an analysis of the firm in the various market structures as well as studies in the resource markets and regulatory activities. A paper will be a part of course requirement and will double as pass/fail on writing competency requirement. May not be transferred without consent. Prerequisites: English 110A and 110B.

Course Description:
Basic for all business majors and those seeking to learn the language of business; procedure for setting up a double entry bookkeeping system. Second semester: corporate accounting and elementary cost accounting methods. Prerequisite: 211 prerequisite for 212. One hour each week, non-credit, laboratory. Fee: $10.

BUSN223 Calculus for Management Science

Course Description:
Fundamental principles of differential and integral calculus. Applications chosen mainly from the management sciences. Prerequisite: Passing proficiency exam administered by Math Department or receiving a "C" or better grade in Math 90 the prior year.

Introduction to the basic elements of modern marketing including the study of the marketing environment framework, target market, market segmentation, marketing ethics, and the marketing mix variables of product, promotion, price, public relations, and place/distribution. BUSN327 Production & Operations Management

Course Description:
The study of the processes involved in the production and operations core of the for-profit and not-for-profit organization, making extensive use of computerized tools in statistical and mathematical tools to solve common production (product-based) problems, including techniques of quality management, and a consideration of Christian principles of servanthood in the production and operations management process. Prerequisites: 111, 190, 202, 212, 220. Fee: $10.
