Join GRIT at SCORR from February 21 - 23, 2019.

SCORR, the Student Congress on Racial Reconciliation, is a conference that Biola has had the privilege of hosting for the past 23 years. It is here that scholars, professors, and activist have come and shared a wealth of wisdom and insight with our campus. Last year twenty different schools from around the country joined us on our campus for this event. We are so excited to welcome them again!

The GRIT Team cannot wait to hear from women such as Dr. Denise Reid, Dr. Nancy Yuen, Dr. Deshonna Collier-Goubil, and many more as they share their expertise with those attending! We encourage you to come out to support the work of the women from and outside of our Biola community. This is an amazing opportunity to make connections with the women in our community. So, don't miss out!

Here are some workshops that we recommend:

  • Glass Ceiling or Cage? A Closer Look at Race and Gender in Higher Education with La Dawn Johnson

  • Developing Self Esteem for Women of Color in Predominantly White Institutions with Peace Amadi

  • Disability in the Diversity Discussion with Denise P. Reid, Ph.D.

  • Navigating Turbulence: Women of Color in Christian College and University Spaces with Deshonna Collier-Goubil

  • Check out the full schedule for the complete list of workshop.
