Did you know?

1 of 3 sexual assault survivors are first year students.

Statistics show that 1 in 5 women and 1 in 16 men are sexually assaulted during their college years.

Only 5% of sexual assaults are reported.

8 in 10 sexual assault survivors know their offender.

Because of these realities, April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and Biola is hosting a variety of events to educate and equip our community. You'll find a calendar of on campus events below.

You'll also want to keep your eyes open for a display on Metzger Lawn beginning the evening of April 9th, the Clothesline Project, a visual display meant to break the silence surrounding sexual violence near the bells the week of April 16th, and an It's On Us video made by members of our community.

And remember—if you or someone you love is a survivor of sexual or interpersonal violence, it was not your fault, and you are not alone. There are resources available for you here.
