LA MIRADA, CALIF. — Biola University’s Christian Apologetics Department will host the 3rd Annual Women in Apologetics conference on January 24-25, 2020. The theme of this year’s conference is “Find your Voice!” The conference and speakers will focus on empowering female theologians to address difficult questions and issues about Christianity that they encounter every day from friends and family.

Keynote speakers include Jo Vitale, current dean of studies at the Zacharias Institute, Jean E. Jones, co-author of the “Discovering the Bible” series, Hillary Morgan Ferrer, author of Mama Bear Apologetics, and Alycia Wood, a speaker with Ravi Zacharias International Ministries.

The conference, which has grown in attendance the past two years, will also feature 12 breakout sessions with additional speakers, as well as worship on both days led by Christian artist Aryn Michelle. The conference will also offer a full day of WIA Kids on Saturday, January 25, for children in 3rd through 6th grade.

Vitale received a Master of Theology, a Master of Biblical Interpretation and a Doctorate of Theology from Oxford University. Wood graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and sociology, as well as from Marygrove College with a Master of social justice. She also graduated from the Oxford Center for Christian Apologetics, where she went on to spend two years as a fellow. Ferrer and Jones have both authored popular and well-received Bible studies and Christian apologetics materials, and Ferrer studied Science and Religion at Biola University.
