LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola Men’s Basketball is in the midst of another historic season as it’s currently ranked 10th in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and holds a 21-3 record through its first 24 games.

The most historic moment of this season came on Nov. 24, 2015 when a 79-60 victory over Bethesda secured Dr. Dave Holmquist’s 900th career coaching victory. Biola University invites its basketball alumni, students, fans and friends to celebrate coach Holmquist’s momentous accomplishment at a postgame celebration on Feb. 20.

The Eagles take on Menlo College in a Golden State Athletic Conference doubleheader that afternoon with a women’s game at 2:00 p.m. and a men’s game at 4:00 p.m. The celebration will begin inside of Chase Gymnasium shortly after the conclusion of the men’s game.

Biola students, faculty, staff and alumni are free to attend the game and postgame celebration. Alumni Relations is providing free Biola sweatbands as a giveaway to attendees (while supplies last).

After a short program honoring coach Holmquist attendees are invited to stick around for a cupcake and coffee reception to talk, take photos and reminisce about the last 36 years of Biola basketball.

This event falls during Biola’s annual Spirit Week.
