Biola University“The way the community recognizes me is an honor and I am grateful to also be an inspiring role model to other girls,” incoming freshman, Shealynna Ringor, told The Garden Island News of her being chosen as Hawaii’s Homecoming Queen.
“I accepted this award proud to represent my school, my community, my morals, family and friends,” she said.
The communication disorders major went on to compete in the America’s Homecoming Queen pageant which focuses on career and service oriented woman and presents finalists with a scholarship. Ringor finished in the top ten women.
Her work with special needs students and foundation of the Young Life Capernaum club in Hawaii for teenagers with disabilities represent her heart to help others and those with disabilities.
