The St. Louis Alumni Chapter welcomed President Barry H. Corey for an evening of dinner and conversation on Thursday, April 16. Biola alumna Gail Larson and her husband, Scott, opened their home to the group, providing a warm and gracious setting for meeting President Corey and reconnecting with Biola.

St. Louis Coffee Oasis and Mediterranean Café, a 2008 Best of St. Louis award winner, provided a mouth-watering Middle Eastern buffet, and there was plenty of time for personal interaction over dinner. Following dinner, guests gathered to hear President Corey address the group and answer questions.

Matt Anderson (’05), Alumni Chapter leader for the St. Louis area, summed the evening up by saying, “As a recent alumnus of the University, it was fun to connect with previous generations of other alumni. The fellowship was warm and edifying. But hearing Dr. Corey’s story of his transition to Biola and seeing his passion for the Kingdom and the University’s faithfulness to its mission was a true delight. It was an honor to spend time with him in such an intimate setting. We thank God for the hands that He has placed Biola in, and look forward to seeing it continue to flourish under his guidance.”
