Associate Professor of English
Aaron Adams is associate professor of English and chair of the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies at Biola University. He earned his D.Phil. from the University of Sussex in 2010. His area of expertise focuses on the intersections between the sacred, the spatial, the social and nineteenth-century British literature. He is an advocate for public humanities and interdisciplinary learning. He teaches courses on literary theory, British literature, spatiality studies, monsters, madness and writing. He believes that learning can be liberating, and challenges himself each semester to create meaningful and rewarding learning communities in each class he teaches. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, exploring national parks, eating at good restaurants, reading books and watching movies.
