Dr. Matthew Visk is a historical and systematic theologian focused on the doctrine of the atonement in medieval and Reformed thought, especially the theology of John Calvin. He earned his doctorate at the University of Cambridge with a thesis, "The Catholic Calvin," on satisfaction and the necessity of the cross, and holds degrees from the London School of Theology, Gateway Seminary, and UCLA (Go Bruins!). He is rector of Christ's Chapel Anglican Church in Riverside, California, and conducts pit orchestras for musical theatre across greater Los Angeles.
