What We Do

We aim to identify, recruit and enroll talented and well-matched international students for the purpose of fulfilling the global mission of Biola University. We have a centralized international admissions office that is responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of international students for ALL academic and non-academic programs. This includes, Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate/Doctoral admission and English Language Program Admission of international students. The International Admissions Department is also responsible for overseas recruitment through individual travels or through fostering of effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

The International Admissions Department is also responsible for the entry/initial student visa process of incoming international students through the verification of immigration documents as well as student financial resources.  This office collaborates with the Registrar’s Office in assuring that student immigration requirements are maintained. Moreover, the International Admissions Department works with the GSPD (Global Students Programs and Development) office in planning for transition services of international students.

Finally, the International Admissions Department serves the role of managing and administering of various international student scholarships (undergraduate and graduate).  Along with this service, the International Admissions Department engages families with the use of Biola’s payment for international wiring, Flywire.
