Martha Daniel – How to Manage with G.U.T.S.

“Success is personal. It is defined by your dream, achieved by your desire, and measured by both.” — Martha Daniel, President and CEO, IMRI

Martha Daniel is an engaging speaker who shared the career experiences that led her to where she is today as a successful business owner. At a young age, others sowed seeds of discouragement, telling her that she would never fulfill her dreams. Rather than letting those seeds destroy her hopes and keep her from pursuing her dreams, these negative individuals served to give her a desire to succeed. Martha passionately shared her main point: “Don’t let nobody turn you around” with the following lessons:

  1. Never give up
  2. Don’t get scared
  3. Develop your desires
  4. Exhibit self-discipline

Martha shared her bad years and her experiences of near failure. At times, she felt like a bungee jumper, for each time she fell, she felt the hand of God grasping her and rescuing her just before she hit bottom. It was through these failures that she bounced back to her greatest successes. Her message was a rousing inspiration to all that attended.

Martha’s key verse “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13, NIV) has carried her to success throughout her life.

Manage with G.U.T.S. is the theme for her management style within her company, IMRI:

G = Greedy You can’t be greedy.

U = Unity You cannot segregate yourself.

T = Trustworthy Say what you mean, mean what you say.

S = Spiritual Believe in the Creator – Believe in God.
